“We opened on St David’s Day, a great day to start a business in Wales,” says Ross Jones of the eponymous Jones the Barber. Ross began barbering in 2013, opening his first shop in the Castle Emporium in 2015, before moving over to the Castle Arcade in 2017. They specialise in traditional barbering techniques and hot towel shaves, with both walk-ins and appointments available.
Alongside the services you would expect, Ross has branched out and developed his own product range called “Jones and Sons”, including pomades, putties and waxes to keep your style sharp between visits. “My sons are very involved in the products and love testing things out,” smiles Ross, “They know exactly what they like and don’t like, and make sure to tell me what they think works!”
