We are delighted to reveal that City of Arcades Week won the Event award at the Cardiff Life Awards 2023.
City of Arcades Week was a seven day event that promoted Cardiff as the City of Arcades through the Night of the Animal Wall art and sculpture trail, a Cardiff Night Market and City of Arcades Day – a day and night celebration with events, discounts and performers.
The Cardiff Life Awards is the biggest annual award ceremony in Cardiff, recognising business development, innovation and community outreach.
Awarded to FOR Cardiff for delivering the event, the judges said:
“Cardiff’s arcades oversaw a tourism boom thanks to FOR Cardiff producing 106 events and offers, thousands attending the Night Market and businesses enjoying increased custom. An innovative scheme to attract footfall!”
Established in 2018 by FOR Cardiff, City of Arcades has won several national and international awards including the PCRA Dare Award in 2020 and the prestigious International Downtown Association (IDA) award of excellence in 2019.
